ONE NATION UNDER GOD!
We just purchased our first home ever. Living in parsonages all our ministry, the only land we owned were two plots in the cemetery. It just happened that our new home has a flagpole by the garage and Sandie has always wanted one to display the American flag, one of our first purchases.
Wanting to attach it to the ropes the right way, we asked a few people how to put the flag on the rope. More than one person explained, “Well, the stars go at the top …” Of course, that’s not what we meant. We found that it was not a big deal to attach it and we make sure the light is on it every night. We love our country. We are grateful for our freedom. We’re thankful to be part of a nation that is “one,” under God. That’s the way the church is to be. The Book of Acts tells us that the people praying for Pentecost were also “one.” Mary and Martha were in harmony over the housework. James and John were not envying a better position. Peter wasn’t wondering how John would die. They were all “one.” That means their focus was on one thing: the coming of the Holy Spirit. Is that your focus? We are seeing several people finding help at our altars, some are becoming Spirit-filled. I even had one pray to be sanctified in my office. Let’s make that our focus, to be a Spirit-filled church in a wonderful country!

The General Board of the Church of the Nazarene honored Dana Harding as one of five missionaries retiring in 2009. Dana returned to Swaziland in March to complete her assignment as a missionary. However, she plans to remain there to continue her role as a pastor. Dana has served as a Nazarene missionary since 1979. The Indianapolis District is proud of Dana and grateful for her passionate service.
We are equally proud that Dana is member of New Castle First. Congratulations, Dana
